
NC Pork Scholarship
About the Scholarship
The 2025 Scholarship Committee is meeting to determine positive changes needed for our scholarship dollar amounts. We are happy to serve our community and will be making an announcement no later than Wednesday, March 12th regarding the awarded amounts. Regardless, applications are open and can be submitted at this time.
Deadline to Apply
All required information, including letters of recommendation, transcripts, and a recent headshot must be submitted to the NC Pork Council by April 11, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicant must be an undergraduate or incoming freshman at either the community college or university level.
For the university scholarship, the applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in an agricultural curriculum of study.
For the community college scholarship, the applicant must be pursuing a certificate or diploma in an agriculture-related program.
A minimum GPA of 2.8 (unweighted) is required. Transcripts will be reviewed for GPA eligibility.
Preference is given to students who:
Attend a North Carolina community college or university
Have a strong desire to remain active in the swine production industry after graduation
Are actively engaged in swine production
Have parents or other family members actively engaged in the North Carolina swine industry
Past NC Pork Council scholarship recipients are also eligible to re-apply on a yearly basis.
