Outstanding Pork Producers of the Year

The North Carolina Pork Council Outstanding Pork Producer of the Year is to recognize and honor a pork producer or family who has made significant contributions to the pork industry in North Carolina.

  • Award may be made to an individual or family.

  • Nominee must be over the age of 40.

  • Nominee must be a member of the North Carolina Pork Council.

  • Nominee must be an owner, operator, contract producer, manager or employee engaged in pork production in North Carolina.

Please email all nomination forms to ________ or mail to NC Pork Council, 4000 Westchase Blvd #330, Raleigh, NC 27607. Nominations may be sent at any time during the year. Deadline for consideration for the next award cycle is December 1.

Award for excellence in innovation

The Award for Excellence in Innovation is to honor and recognize individuals or institutions for advancing the pork industry through innovative techniques, applications and/or action that include but are not limited to environmental stewardship, sustainability, research, science, and other related advancements in the pork industry. Established in 2018.

  • Award may be made to an individual or institution.

  • Priority consideration is for an owner, operator, contract producer, manager or employee engaged in pork production in North Carolina.
