2016 N.C. State Fair Youth Livestock Scholarship Application Now Available

The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the N.C. State Fair have opened the application period for the N.C. State Fair Youth Livestock Scholarship Program.

The scholarships are designed for high school seniors and students currently enrolled in an institute of higher education.

All youth who have who have participated in the junior livestock or market turkey shows at the N.C. State Fair are eligible to apply for this scholarship, regardless of breed, class or show placement. Showmen and previous showmen are encouraged to apply for scholarships each year they are enrolled at an institute of higher learning at a minimum of 9 course hours per semester, including community colleges and technical schools.

Completed applications are due to the N.C. State Fair Office or postmarked by 5:00 pm on March 1, 2016.
