North Carolina Pork Conference February 2nd-3rd, 2012Join us!*Held in conjunction with the Southern Farm Show For the third straight year, NCPC will be hosting the annual NC Pork Conference in conjunction with the Southern Farm Show at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. We hope you can join us for a great lineup of seminars and also enjoy some time visiting the show vendors. All pork producers, allied industry representatives and NCPC members are invited to attend.
Conference events will begin early Thursday, February 2nd and run through the morning on Friday, February 3rd. Thursday’s schedule begins at 9:00 am at the Martin Building with two seminars for Operator in Charge credits. A complimentary lunch will also be provided for conference participants. Other seminars will be conducted throughout the day and will conclude with NCPC’s Annual Meeting at 3:30 pm. All conference events at the fairgrounds on Thursday are free.
The annual Bacon Bash fundraising event for the NCPC Political Action Committee will also take place during the conference. This members-only event will once again be at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley beginning at 5:30 pm. In addition to hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be the traditional reverse raffle for the $5,000 grand prize. Also, as an encore to the 2011 Bacon Bash, Casino Night will make its return with some new touches. Make plans now to spend the evening with us by buying a Bacon Bash ticket for the reverse raffle. Tickets are $100 each and buy your entry to the event and an opportunity to win the grand prize. You may register online for the Bacon Bash.
The annual industry award winners will be honored on Friday morning at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley. The awards will be presented at a breakfast ceremony recognizing and honoring folks in the NC pork industry that are making a difference. Registration for the breakfast is $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
 We have reserved a block of rooms at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley for Thursday, February 2nd at a reduced rate of $109. Please call 1-800-228-9290 or 919-781-7000 by January 21st to reserve your room for $99. After January 21st the rate will increase to $149.
