Garland Parker - Allied Industry

Garland Parker grew up in Swansboro, NC on a tobacco, beef cattle and row crop farm. Garland graduated from NC State University in December 1995 with a bachelor of science in animal science. He interned with Murphy Family Farms in summer of 1995 while attending NC State. Garland is the swine account manager for Chr Hansen, Inc in southeast US since March 2010, focusing on sales of direct fed microbials. The previous 11 years he was with Fort Dodge Animal Health as a senior territory manager calling on beef, dairy and swine producers in SC, NC and VA. Garland has been a member of NC Cattlemen's Association for the past 13 years and the NC Pork Council for 10 years. He currently holds the board of director seat for allied industry and serves on the PAC board of trustees. He has been a member of the NC Pork Council’s fundraising committee for the past seven years and volunteers for most of the Pork Council activities including Pork Chop Shop.
