Edward Dail

Edward Dail is the owner of Dail Brothers, which specializes in retail fencing, animal health supplies, dog, horse, goat and cattle feed, and cattle/horse equipment (panels/gates/water/feed equipment). Dail Brothers also has a turkey operation, a 1,200 head farrow-to-wean farm, 16,000 head finishing spaces and 2,600 nursery spaces, 3,000 row crop acres of wheat, soybean, and corn. Dail graduated from James Kenan High School in 1974 and immediately started farming. He had a small hog operation in a wooded lot while in high school and increased the size of the operation after graduating. In 1979, he and his brother built a 500-sow operation under contract with Carrolls’ of Warsaw, which in 1986 was expanded to accommodate 1,000 sows. In March 2005, he served as a NC delegate for the National Pork Producers Council in Orlando, FL. In addition to serving on the NC Pork Council's board, Edward is a member of the Council's producer education and communications committee.
