Bryant Worley is a row crop and livestock farmer in western Wayne County. He began his farming career with his father in 1975 after graduating from NCSU-Ag Ed. He is now working along side his two son-in-laws, Kevin Norris & Ben Thomas, the sixth generation of the Worley family to work on the farm. Bryant has a 1,100 acre row crop operation (corn, wheat, soybeans, cotton & tobacco) as well as swine and poultry operations. He is a contract grower with Goldsboro Hog Farms with eight finishing floors producing 15,000 hogs annually. He also contracts with Goldsboro Milling Company to produce 50,000 Tom turkeys annually. Most recently, Bryant and wife, Debbie, provided the 2009 Presidential turkey sent to Washington to be pardoned by President Obama. Bryants membership and involvement in agricultural organizations has been extensive. He has served as chairman on many of these boards. Bryant also received the 2008 NC Environmental Steward Award from the NC Pork Council and was chosen a 2009 National Pork Board Environmental Steward. Back to Board Members |
