Smithfield Agronomics Program has been awarded a Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) grant to fund NRCS-EQUIP projects in Duplin, Greene, Lenoir, Pitt, Robeson, Sampson and Wayne counties.  The funds are for grain growers in the seven counties interested in implementing conservation tillage, cover crops, or nutrient management practices.

RCCP funds go to farmers through the typical NRCS enrollment process, but through a separate pool, meaning farmers may be more likely to receive funding through the RCCP pool.

Farmers are not required to have any business relations with Smithfield in order to participate.

Visit your local NRCS office to sign up for RCPP funding.
