The North Carolina Pork Council is proud to announce our partnership with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
The Food Bank will be hosting a cook-off in Durham at the Historic Durham Athletic Park Friday, June 4 - Saturday, June 5. This world famous ball park is the location where the movie Bull Durham (Kevin Costner, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins) was filmed. It has just undergone a $5,ooo,ooo complete renovation and is now operated as a show site for Minor League Baseball.
This year's inaugural "BLUES, BREWS AND 'QUES" event will feature a full lineup of the area's best blues musicians (including Bonnie Raitt's former lead guitarist). It will also feature local micro brewers and a wide variety of handcrafted beers.
What could be better: a historic ballpark, great music, great beer and, of course, great North Carolina barbeque.
